RESOLUTION ON “ANY OTHER BUSINESS”
The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity, meeting in its Fortieth Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 27 February to 5 March 1984,
Considering the need to deal with all substantive problems with all the seriousness they deserve,
Considering the need to make sure that all decisions taken involve all Member States:
REQUESTS all Member States:
to abstain, in principle, from including important and substantive issues under the item “Any Other Business”;
in case discussion on an important and urgent issue becomes necessary under the item “Any Other Business” this issue should, after its inclusion in the agenda, be circulated in writing to the delegations before discussion;
CALLS UPON the Secretary-General to ensure compliance with this resolution.
