RESOLUTION ON AFRICAN ACCOUNTING COUNCIL AS A SPECIALIZED AGENCY
The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity meeting in its Forty- first Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 25 February to 4 March 1985,
Considering the application submitted by the African Accounting Council (ACC) to become a Specialized Agency of the OAU,
Considering that this body comprises 31 OAU Member States that it is a technical body in the field of Accounting and Standardization of Accounting Systems, that it has proved its competence to the entire satisfaction of its Member States, and that its services can be of great use to the OAU especially now that the latter is preparing to hold its Second Economic Summit:
DECIDES to confer on the African Accounting Council (AAC) the status of Specialized Agency of the OAU; and
AUTHORIZES the Secretary-General to conclude an agreement with this body to this effect, in conformity with the current practice.
