RESOLUTION ON AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT TAINING PROGRAMME FOR AFRICA


The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity meeting in its Forty- first Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 25 February to 4 March 1985:


  1. TAKES NOTE of the Technical Assistance Grant from IFAD to the OAU/STRC for Agricultural Management Training Programme for Africa and accepts it with gratitude;


  1. CONSIDERS this programme to be of considerable importance in the development of human resources for agricultural production;


  1. TAKES NOTE of the initiative of ICAD with formulation of this programme and the subsequent collaboration which exists between OAU/STRC, ADB, EDI of World Bank and IFAD in the execution of the programme:


  1. URGES the President of IFAD to continue support for the four sub- programmes which are proposed for 4 years and requests President of IFAD to support sub-programmes for all the Member States of OAU;


  1. EXPRESSES ITS APPRECIATION to the Presidents of ADB, EDI of World Bank and IFAD for their invaluable contribution to the successful initiation and commencement of this programme.
