RESOLUTION ON THE APPLICATION OF THE AFRICAN UNION OF ARCHITECTS FOR OBSERVER STATUS WITH THE ORGANIZATION OF AFRICAN UNITY
The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity, meeting in its Forty-sixth Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 20 to 25 July 1987,
Having considered the application of the African Union of Architects for Observer Status with the Organization of African Unity submitted to the OAU by the African Union of Architects,
Convinced of the invaluable contribution that the African Union of Architects can make to the promotion of architecture and to the conservation of the African architectural heritage,
Having satisfied itself that the African Union of Architects fulfills the legal criteria for the granting of Observer Status as established by the OAU Assembly of Heads of State and Government:
APPROVES the said application of the African Union of Architects and grants it Observer Status, category “C” with the Organization of African Unity.
