Recommendation relating to the request directed to states who have not yet ratified the Constitutive Act of the Union and the Protocol to the Treaty Establishing the African Economic Community Relating to the Pan-African Parliament

The Pan African Parliament;

1.RECALLING the provisions of the Constitutive Act of the African Union, its Protocol and the Rules of Procedure of the Pan-African Parliament, in particular rules 4 and 5;

2.CONCERNED about building a United Africa that stands together, with all states being integrated into the African Union;

3.CONSIDERING the need to establish the Union African States consisting of all African peoples so that Africa is able to take up all the challenges it faces, working together and collectively.

URGENTLY appeals to all African states that have not yet ratified the Constitutive Act of the African Union and the Protocol Establishing the African Economic CommunityRelating to the Pan-African Parliament to do so as soon as possible.
