Resolution on the establishment of the Standing Committee on APRM

The Pan-African Parliament resolves that:The PAP establishes a Standing Committee on APRM to be drawn from member states.In the meantime, PAP should refer APRM reports of member states to the Committee on Justice and Human Rights until such time that a permanent Standing Committee on APRM is established.PAP should utilize the APRM to strategically enhance its relevance & unique role of and become a central part of the peer review system, promoting oversight & accountability.The PAP is uniquely placed to elevate the APRM as a core agenda item, and monitor and evaluate progress on a cross-country basis
