DECISION ON THE PREPARATIONS FOR THE
8th ALL-AFRICA TRADE FAIR

Council:

  1. ENDORSES 22-26 April 2002 as the date for the 8th All-Africa Trade Fair scheduled to be held in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt;

  2. URGES all member states to take note of the above date, disseminate it as widely as possible and ensure that no major national, sub-regional or continental event is organized to clash with the date of the Fair;

  3. CALLS on all member states and all collaborating institutions designated as members of the Technical Organizing Committee (TOC) to participate actively in the preparatory process of the Fair;

  4. INVITES all member states to begin the preparations at the national level for the Fair and to mobilize all potential participants, especially the private sector agents, the chambers of commerce and all economic operators to participate in the Fair.
