DECISION ON THE 9 SEPTEMBER

AS THE DAY OF AFRICAN UNION

The Assembly,

1. TAKES NOTE of the proposal of the Leader of the Libyan Revolution Colonel Muamar Khaddafi to consider the 9^th of September as the Day of the African Union instead of 2 March;

2. CONGRATULATES the Leader of the Libyan Revolution for his proposal;

3. APPROVES AND DECLARES the 9^th September the Day of the African Union;

4. CALLS UPON all Member States to take all necessary measures to commemorate the Day of the African Union on 9^th September of every year.
