DECISION ON THE REPORT OF THE CHAIRPERSON ON
THE AU SYMBOLS COMPETITIONS (FLAG, EMBLEM, ANTHEM)

The Assembly:

1. ENDORSES the recommendations of the 4^th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council in March 2004 to retain the Emblem and Flag of the former OAU and adopt them as the new AU Flag and Emblem;

2. DECIDES to select the Rearranged (revised) version of the Anthem of the former OAU as the new AU Anthem;

3. ACKNOWLEDGES and thanks all those who submitted entries to the AU Symbols Competitions as well as the Panel of Judges.
