DECISION ON THE INTRODUCTION OF THE E-CONFERENCING
SYSTEM WITHIN THE AFRICAN UNION COMMISSION
The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the introduction of the e-conferencing system within the Commission;
2. CONGRATULATES the Commission on the launch of this home-grown electronic document management system which will greatly facilitate the work of the African Union by providing easy access to AU documents including full texts of all OAU/AU Decisions, Declarations and Resolutions since 1963;
3. REQUESTS the Commission in collaboration with all Member States to make maximum use of the e-conferencing system and DECIDES that henceforth, all Summit Meetings to be held at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia become paper-smart except where the need arises;
4. REQUESTS the Commission to comply with this decision and report to the ordinary session of the Executive Council scheduled for January 2017.
