DECISION ON THE NINTH JOINT ANNUAL MEETINGS OF THE AFRICAN UNION
STC ON FINANCE, MONETARY AFFAIRS, ECONOMIC PLANNING AND
INTEGRATION AND THE UNITED NATIONS ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR
AFRICA CONFERENCE OF MINISTERS OF FINANCE,
PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT,
ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA, 4-5 APRIL 2016

The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the Report of the Ninth Joint Annual Meetings of the African Union STC on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning And Integration and The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Conference of Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 4-5 April 2016 , the recommendations therein;
2. URGES Member States to allocate at least 0.015 percent (0.015%) of their budget to Statistics development;
3. DECLARES the years 2017 - 2026 as the Decade on Civil registration and Vital Statistics.
4. REQUESTS the Commission to report on the implementation of this decision on a regular basis.
