DECISION ON THE DATE OF THE 5TH AFRICAN
UNION-EUROPEAN UNION SUMMIT IN 2017
The Executive Council,
1. RECALLS its Decision EX.CL/Dec.930(XXX) of July 2016 accepting the offer by the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire to host the 5th AU-EU Summit in November 2017;
2. RECOMMENDS that the Assembly approve the dates proposed by the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire to hold the said Summit on 29 and 30 November 2017;
3. DIRECTS the Commission, in close collaboration with the host country and the Regional Economic Communities, to undertake activities for the preparation of the Summit and report thereon to the next ordinary session of the Executive Council in July 2017.
