DECISION ON THE REPORT OF THE COMMISSION ON THE HOSTING OF
THE SECRETARIAT OF THE AFRICAN COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS
ON THE RIGHTS AND WELFARE OF THE CHILD (ACERWC)

The Executive Council,
1. RECALLS its Decision, EX.CL/Dec.947(XXX) of January 2017, regarding relocation of the Secretariat of the ACERWC;
2. TAKES NOTE of the report of the Commission and the ongoing consultations between the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of The Sudan; with a view to reaching consensus on the hosting of the Secretariat of the ACERWC;
3. ENCOURAGES the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of The Sudan to continue consultations until a consensus is reached, and REQUESTS the Commission to facilitate such consultations;
4. REQUESTS the Commission to report to the Ordinary Session of the Executive Council scheduled in June/July 2018.
