Regulation C/REG.6/12/00 Appointing the Managing Director of the ECOWAS Regional Investment Bank (ERIB)

The Council of Ministers,MINDFUL of Articles 10, 11 and 12 of the Treaty establishing the Council of Ministers and defining its composition and functions;MINDFUL of Articles 17 and 18 of the Treaty and Article 28 of the Protocol relating to the ECOWAS Fund for Cooperation, Compensation and Development, relating to appointments of statutory officers including those of the ECOWAS Fund;MINDFUL of Decision A/DEC.4/12/99 relating to the transformation of the ECOWAS Fund into a Regional Holding Company called the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) and the establishment of its two subsidiaries, namely, the ECOWAS Regional Investment Bank (ERIB) and the ECOWAS Regional Development Fund (ERDF);MINDFUL of Decision A/DEC.3/7/91 on the selection and evaluation of the performance of Statutory Appointees of the Institutions of the Community;MINDFUL of Decision CAHSG.4/7/2000 of the Chairman of Authority allocating the post of Managing Director, ECOWAS Regional Investment Bank (ERIB) to the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire;ON THE RECOMMENDATION of the Fourth meeting of the Ad-hoc Ministerial Committee on the Selection and Evaluation of Statutory Appointees held in Abuja on 21st to 23rd November, 2000ENACTS

Article 1

MR. KOUAKOU KOFFl MARTIAL is hereby appointed the Managing Director, ECOWAS Regional Investment Bank (ERIB) for a period of four (4) years with effect from the date he assumes duty.

Article 2

The Regulation shall be published by the Executive Secretariat in the Official Journal of the Community within thirty (30) days of its signature by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers. It shall also be published by each Member State in its National Gazette within the same time-frame.
